Benefits of Tile

There’s so much to love about tile flooring. Types of Tile

Today’s tile is made from, literally, everything under the sun, including metal, glass, and mosaic. New tile products appear on the market on the regular these days, but some things still stay relatively unchanged: the majority of tile products are made using either ceramic, porcelain, or stone. Consider these facts while choosing your tile material:

Made using organic clays, tile made out of porcelain and clay have been glazed and fired. Porcelain is definitely the denser of the two, since it gets fired at a hotter heat. Both ceramic and porcelain are durable products, and can be used indoors and outdoors. Porcelain, however, boasts added water resistance and is also more apt to prevent slips.

Made using some of the hardest minerals on earth, stone tile is perfected by nature’s artistry. Stone is naturally suited for the great outdoors, of course, but it also can be elegant in your living room.
